Spring Inspirations
Marta Lock in Budapest, May 2025

The Golden Duck Gallery honored to present Spring Inspirations exhibition, which will take place under the arrangement of Marta Lock – a recognized Italian art critic and writer, known for her prolific reviews, critical essays, and curatorial work. She has established herself as a prominent figure in the contemporary art world through her extensive contributions to publications, catalogues, and exhibitions. We happy to introduce the idea behind the upcoming exhibition outlined by Marta Lock:
„The idea of organizing a group exhibition in Budapest was a natural consequence of my admiration for the history and royal beauty of this city, but also a way of allowing the sensitive and attentive Hungarian public to discover new voices of artists from all over Europe and further afield.
The willingness of Catherine Varadi, the owner of the Golden Duck Gallery, to open her space to international interaction, has allowed me to bring to life this event, which is intended to be a celebration of the most beautiful season of the year, spring, and an opportunity for artists to be part of a dynamic and eclectic context where they can show their interpretation of the various styles that each of them represents.
Within the exhibition space, there will be a room dedicated exclusively to Geometric Abstractionism, precisely to create a connection with the vast pictorial tradition this particular movement, with all its various facets, has had here in Hungary,” shared Marta Lock.
