An openness is necessary for the reception of non-figurative painting. How does one approach contemporary art? Does one try to understand the message from the image or the image from the message – the artist’s commentary? Or are you simply immersed in a visual experience that evokes particular feelings?
Tamás Náray’s exhibition offered an opportunity to observe the diversity of reception, and I tried to reflect this on my canvas.

"In 2020, Péter Szilágyi was surprised by his wife with an extraordinary birthday present: an oil painting course with painter Kálmán Gasztonyi. After studying paintings based on the master's guidelines, he soon began to paint his own subjects based on his own experiences. His master considers him an outstanding talent. Colours, lights, landscapes, people - paintings made in plein air or from his own photographs are not copies of reality, but subjective representations of the view.
Some of his paintings are already in the possession of private collectors in Hungary and Germany. His paintings have been included in numerous exhibitions and competitions in Hungary and have won numerous prizes.
He has won several ""Honorable Mentioned"" and ""Certificate of Excellence"" awards from international online galleries, as well as the ""Gallery Award"" from People & Paintings gallery in New-York and 3 ""Talent Awards"" from Teravarna gallery in Los Angeles."
