Spring is part of my Four Seasons series, inspired by Vivaldi’s timeless interpretation of the seasons. This piece centers on the cello, a symbol of renewal and joy, emerging from a vibrant background of yellow, green, and soft pink hues that evoke the blossoming of nature.
Dynamic brushstrokes and abstract splashes of color capture the energetic rebirth of life, while the interplay of texture and light celebrates the vitality of spring. Dóra Stork is a Hungarian artist whose work explores the dynamic interplay between structure and spontaneity, permanence and fluidity. Working primarily in encaustic and acrylic, her art celebrates beauty, balance, and harmony, blending abstraction with realism to evoke emotional warmth and timeless elegance.
In her encaustic works, Dóra harnesses the ancient technique of molten wax painting, a process demanding precision and focus. Through layered textures and deliberate guidance of the medium, she creates compositions rich in depth and tactile detail. These pieces often feature subjects reflecting a decorative rhythm and a meditative stillness.
In contrast, her acrylic works emerge from a place of intuition and organic flow. Using glazing techniques to build up translucent layers, Dóra captures nature’s patterns, interconnectedness, and mystery. Dóra Stork’s artistic achievements have been recognized internationally.
