TJAŠA TIA CUSCH.
Tjasa was born in Ptuj, Slovenia. After finishing Secondary School for Design and Photography in Ljubljana, she decided to stay in the capital of Slovenia and went on to study painting at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design. During the course of a student exchange programme, she studied visual communications and graphic design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia.
Tjasa currently lives and works in Slovenia.
Her portraits, depicting the interlacing of tradition and modernity, are always considered to be carefully crafted masterpieces. With each stroke she gently, yet determinedly captures the essence of the portrayed subject’s power.
