"Irina Afonskaya is painter, photographer and poetess, born in Kiev, Ukraine, from birthday and to 2014 lived in Moscow, Russia, which she left in 2015 year as political immigrant, and from this time till now she lives in Varna, Bulgaria. She studied art in People's Unversity of art in Moscow for a while, but mostly she is a self-taught artist. 
Her art is presented in different internet galleries  and on my personal art site, instagram, facebook and her youtube channel. 
She sells painting in different ways - originals, prints and digital files, and different things with my painting printed on them. Her original paintings are already sold to private collections in USA and Europe. Beside this she has sold prints and thousands of digital files with her paintings. 
Her paintings were published few times in books, magazines and newspapers in USA  and Russia. 
She participates in international art exhibitions.
She paints in different materials - oil and acrylic on canvas and watercolor, also likes to use golden and coloured paints with glittering shinning effect making decorative interier art. 
Her main subjects are nature - landscapes, flowers, little bit fauna, architecture and some abstract and fluid art.
Her paintings are different, she tries to be various, not limit herself with only one style. Some of her paintings close to realism, minimalism, naiv art, expressionism and abstract expressionism, art deco or art nouveau, but most her my paintings can't be completely included in any concrete style, and this is her artistic position, that painter should not be limited within the boundaries of a particular style, but should be higher and more complex.
As she is painter and poetess at the same time, she follows words of Leonardo da Vinci: “Painting is poetry that is seen rather than felt, and poetry is painting that is felt rather than seen,” trying to combine painting and poetry, making painting poetic, and poetry picturesque.
Her art credo basis on thoughts of Russian philosopher Vladimir Soloviev in his article ""Sense of art"", that beauty is the embodiment of goodness and truth in material world, beauty enlightens the evil darkness of the world. And Russian writer Dostoevsky wrote that beauty will save the world. That's why she see aim of painters in giving beauty to the world, and with it - give to the world goodness, truth and ligth, and this way change the world, to make world lighter and better."
