MYRIAM VÉJUS.
States of Light - States of Matter.
All my work is rooted in the exploration of light. Through my photographic series, I engage in a meticulous quest for luminous phenomena and their multiple manifestations. My 'Abrasion' series is a journey into the decomposition of the spectrum of white light, often invisible to the naked eye.
This series explores the genesis of light and its interaction with water and air, revealing intimate and mysterious aspects of our environment.
In my work, I use the colour histogram to establish an analogy between a place and its environment. It's a process that transcends the visual aspects to offer a deeper reflection on the relationship between light and its environment.
My work is not just about capturing images, but also about deciphering and revealing the hidden layers of light, transforming each photograph into a tactile and visual exploration of the fundamental elements that make up our world.
My approach to light as a primary medium enables me to create works that enrich our understanding of natural elements, while offering a singular artistic perspective on the interactions between light, matter and perception.
